IDEAL FOR NURSES, ER WORKERS, PSYCHIATRIC and FIRST RESPONDERS
The program was designed to provide professionals with the opportunity to develop necessary skills to avoid or minimize the need for physical restraint. The program concentrates on the assumption one party is already resisting or actively fighting, not being compliant. The training focuses on maintaining the safety and dignity of the client while keeping everyone safe. Topics include:
- Active listening and understanding body language “sentences”
- How to enhance and develop intuition and perception
- Understand aggression cues
- Verbal de-escalation techniques used by law enforcement
- How to control fear, anxiety and increase self-control
- Effective body posturing, evasion and escape maneuvering
- Physical restraint techniques that rely on body mechanic and do not harm the individual
- Control and restraint group cohesion exercises
- The single best tool that can be used to stall an attack
Programs are available in half day and full day formats. All programs are conducted in a non-threatening atmosphere with a focus on each participants comfort level.
