We all want to be safe and be able to save from harm ourselves and loved ones. Given the choice most of us would elect to pursue nonviolent means to keep ourselves safe however it’s difficult to predict exactly how we might respond to a crisis. Yet, we face challenging behavior and potentially dangerous situations every day. Your response greatly determines the wellbeing of everyone involved—and impacts the relationships with those in your environment. This unique program not only teaches how to recognize to the warning signs that someone is beginning to lose control, but also addresses how we can control our own stress, anxieties, and emotions when confronted with these challenging situations.
No matter if you have been through violence prevention or conflict resolution classes before; this course will offer a wide variety of perspective from which you can enhance your knowledge base. If you are new to violence prevention our goal is to create a non-intimidating, nurturing environment. In a nutshell, this course is content rich and short on “fluff”.
